Cookie Policy
Last updated: 27 May 2026
This page explains what cookies and similar tracking technologies FiftyMetrics uses on fiftymetrics.com and our app subdomain (app.fiftymetrics.com), what each one does, how long it lasts, and how you can opt out.
If you'd like to change your cookie choices right now:
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser by websites you visit. They're widely used to make websites work, remember preferences, and provide information to site owners. "Cookies" in this policy also refers to other browser storage (localStorage, sessionStorage) and tracking pixels (1×1 images, JavaScript beacons) that work similarly.
2. The three categories we use
Strictly necessary always on
Required for the site to function. Includes your login session, security tokens (CSRF), your theme preference, and the record of your cookie consent choice itself. By law these don't require consent — without them the site can't deliver the service you asked for.
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
fm_token |
FiftyMetrics | Authentication token after login (kept in localStorage) | Until logout / 30 days |
fm_logged_in |
FiftyMetrics | Cross-subdomain flag so marketing pages can show "Go to dashboard" for logged-in users | Session |
fm_cookie_consent |
FiftyMetrics | Your cookie-preferences choice (which categories you accepted) | 13 months |
fiftymetricsdarktheme |
FiftyMetrics | Whether you've selected dark mode | 1 year |
Analytics opt-in
Helps us understand how visitors use the site in aggregate — which pages are useful, where people get stuck, what features generate engagement. We never identify individual visitors and we never sell or share this data. Currently set up:
| Name / Provider | What it does | Where it's set | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics 4 Google LLC |
Pageviews, session counts, traffic sources, broad geography (country/region), device class. IP addresses are truncated. | _ga, _ga_* cookies on the fiftymetrics.com domain |
Up to 2 years |
| Microsoft Clarity Microsoft Corporation |
Session recordings (with input masking) and heatmaps so we can understand UX friction. Personal information in form fields is masked before transmission. | _clck, _clsk cookies on the fiftymetrics.com domain |
Up to 1 year |
Marketing opt-in
Lets us measure paid-advertising performance and (with your consent) build audiences for re-targeting. If you opt out of this category, you see exactly the same site — just without the tracking pixels firing.
| Name / Provider | What it does | Where it's set | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Meta Pixel Meta Platforms, Inc. |
Measures conversions from Meta / Facebook / Instagram ads, builds custom audiences and lookalikes for ad re-targeting. | _fbp on fiftymetrics.com; fr on facebook.com |
Up to 90 days |
| TikTok Pixel TikTok Pte. Ltd. |
Measures conversions from TikTok ads and builds re-targeting audiences. | _ttp on fiftymetrics.com |
Up to 13 months |
| Google Ads conversion tag Google LLC |
Attributes signups and subscriptions to Google Ads clicks; powers re-targeting via Google Display Network. | _gcl_* cookies on fiftymetrics.com |
Up to 90 days |
| LinkedIn Insight Tag LinkedIn Corporation |
Measures conversions from LinkedIn ads and builds audiences. Only loaded if you opt in. | li_* cookies on linkedin.com |
Up to 6 months |
Note: as of the date above, FiftyMetrics is pre-launch and several of these marketing pixels are not yet active. They'll be activated when paid ad campaigns begin. They will only fire after explicit consent in either case.
3. How to change your choices
At any time, click "Manage cookie preferences" at the top of this page, or the same link in the footer of any page on fiftymetrics.com. Your new choice takes effect immediately and replaces the previous one.
You can also block or delete cookies directly in your browser settings — most browsers offer controls in their privacy / security settings. Note that disabling necessary cookies will break login and core site functionality.
4. Third-party opt-outs
If you'd like to opt out of specific third-party trackers globally (not just on FiftyMetrics), use their official opt-out tools:
- Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on
- Meta Ads Preferences
- TikTok personalized ads settings
- Google Ads personalisation
- LinkedIn ad-tracking opt-out
- European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance — bulk opt-out
5. Data inside the FiftyMetrics app
When you log in to app.fiftymetrics.com, we deliberately do not load any marketing or analytics third-party trackers. The app subdomain only sets necessary cookies (your session, security tokens, theme preference). Sensitive business data inside the dashboard is not exposed to any third party.
6. Changes to this policy
If we change the list of cookies above (e.g. add a new analytics tool, swap out an ad network), we'll update this page and bump the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes (a new category enabled, or fundamentally new tracking) will re-trigger the consent banner so you can make a fresh choice.
7. Questions
Any cookies questions, or a request to know what we hold about you, go to info@fiftymetrics.com. We respond within 5 working days.
